what is glamourbomb ?
glamourbomb describe practise that some compare to hakim bey's poetic terrorism : actions that one carry out to bring sense of magic to people , and to world as whole .
glamourbomb originate from esoteric darkfae mailing list and community , and spread along early 2000s otherkin community , particularly those with faerie identity .
among definitions and discussions , seem have 2 main goals .
goal 1 - help in lift veil that exist to separate worlds of magic and mundane , blur lines between worlds . this approach can lead to use of real and intentional magic inside glamourbombs , in addition to typical fantasy , beauty , and hints of mystical danger .
goal 2 - help in change people's perceptions , get people to question if reality is and should be so bleak and with so many limits . to see power in this perception , to take power and make things better , more magical and joyous .
both often go hand in hand , though important to say that glamourbomb is not just about feel good and random acts of kindness . some people refer to this act as glitterbomb instead , and draw line between actions done for magic and simply for kindness .

magic , in this literal and often pagan sense , was core to original glamourbomb concept . later community members sometimes redefine magic as things like beauty , wonder , or kindness . but really , subversion is more in line with idea .some subversive things can be beautiful or wondrous or kind , but not all will be .
likewise , not all subversion is glamourbomb .
if look to define glamourbomb specifically without spirituality and magic , then might say that to glamourbomb is to subvert expectations and limits of bleak everyday reality , specifically with ideas of fantasy , folklore , and magical impossibilities .
glamourbomb is also not necessarily lawful , as some acts may be forms of vandalism or otherwise - however , bad form to give public advice on break laws , for multiple reasons . ideas on this page therefore will not touch on many of these possibilities , and leave choices up to reader .
while many glamourbomb ideas relate to faeries , there is no reason that can not theme for other creatures and legends - and no requirement to identify as nonhuman , either !
