I need to read a fantasy novel where humans are in the minority, and furthermore they're not like, the most versatile race, or the most unpredictable, or the most industrious or whatever, and instead they're just made up entirely of failguys.

i am going to reread space opera to tide me over until the next excellent chapter of burnouts which is that except humans interact with a celestial bureaucracy to become explicitly bugged

I remember being on reddit a few years ago and trying to find any sci-fi stories, but the only consistent ones I could find were the writingprompts subreddit (like 5-10% scifi) or HFY (~60% in my opinion)
HFY was very human-centric, and kinda human-supremacist at the cost of aliens or robots. Like, if we knew for certain aliens or sentient robots existed, some of those stories would be classified as extremely racist.
