I need to read a fantasy novel where humans are in the minority, and furthermore they're not like, the most versatile race, or the most unpredictable, or the most industrious or whatever, and instead they're just made up entirely of failguys.

I wanna read something that reads like anti-human propaganda from another dimension.

in its sci-fi universe, humans are new comers to the galactic stage. they are considered novice, ramshackle and smelly. only about 100 years into contact with other species and 50 as part of the multi-species confederated governing body of the galaxy. before that humans were refugees, wandering after earth became uninhabitable due to climate change. the books still center human characters, mostly for the benefit of the reader, but the universe does not. humans are small. humans are just another species; not powerful or important. its really excellent world building and delightfully subversive of expectation. i really enjoy these books : )

I remember being on reddit a few years ago and trying to find any sci-fi stories, but the only consistent ones I could find were the writingprompts subreddit (like 5-10% scifi) or HFY (~60% in my opinion)
HFY was very human-centric, and kinda human-supremacist at the cost of aliens or robots. Like, if we knew for certain aliens or sentient robots existed, some of those stories would be classified as extremely racist.
