github might be one of the least intutitive sites to download anything from to a non-tech expert and what's particularly frustrating is the tech expert types seemingly having no clue that github is INCREDIBLY hard to parse
seriously, look at this screenshot (for example) and tell me where im supposed to click to download what i need
90% of the time I'm on github is because I've heard about a mod/utility/program that solves a problem I don't know how to fix myself, I look up the program, the only place to get it is github, and then we roll a d10
1 - they have a webpage on git with clear instructions.
2-5 - there's a windows executable in the releases tab.
6-10 - readme full of jargon or no instructions at all.
