Coming home from kindergarten, all stressed out from big girl duties. Angel went to her room and opened up a big plastic container that she kept under her bed. While one would expect the bin to be filled with LEGOs or other such age-appropriate toys for a girl her age, it’s instead filled with pacifiers and cuddly stuffed animals. Reaching down into the bin and feeling around until a familiar rubbery texture, she pulled out one of her favorite pacifiers and immediately plopped it into her mouth.
With a bit more pep in her step, she made her way over to a stereo cassette player and hit the play switch. Hearing a familiar song come on, she started dancing around to the beat. The ring of her pacifier tapped against the guard as she moved, nuknuking on it as she performed a rather juvenile dance number to an audience of stuffed animals. Soon enough, the song ended along with all the worries she originally had after coming home from school.
Picking up her favorite plush shark, Chomper, she gave the stuffie a big hug as she walked out of her room. She wanted to play some video games before her babysitter came over.
