The trick is to start in medias res!
Think of the timeline of your story and start it somewhere in the middle portion. You can always do flashbacks if necessary! And it honestly helps to try your hand at writing micro-fiction where you don't feel the need to write pages and pages of stuff.
THIS THIS THIS for real. It helps so much. And yeah I suggest writing shorter stories, especially if it's to get out some horny. For having been commissioned both long & short stories everything feels so much easier when they're short lol
