I have so many partially started projects of varying degrees and it's difficult to keep them all in check and up to date. Pushing myself to do them against my energy levels is an extreme challenge. (I didn't know I was this fragile.)
Major Projects
- Learning video editing, production and live broadcast
- Writing reviews and stories of varying subjects.
- Learning Guitar
- Learning more about live mixing AKA DJing
- Learning Linux in depth
- Learning other adjacent tech stuff like bread boards and microcontrollers
Minor Projects
- Keeping things organized
- Keeping to good sleep cycles
- Keeping up with my gaming log. (I've completed about 20 games this year and I'm proud of that.)
- Car maintenance and upgrades. (Heartz has been helping with this.)
Successes
With help I did get debian installed into a thinkpad, encrypted with cinnamon. (I'm not entirely sure?) I think it's related to mint but i'm still learning how all these things are coming together. I last played with unbuntu linux back in 2006 both gnome and KDE flavors, but since then haven't really gone farther.
Most of my software experience is in XML and database stuff. (Bits and pieces from everywhere.) My hardware experience is from hardware repair jobs I did the past decade, but time moves fast and everything gets outdated quick. (Funny enough everything I learned about linux is for the most part the same. No more apt-get, it's just apt install! Nifty!)
I think part of working with my ADHD mind is that things have to be ready to go at all times. If anything takes any sort of prep, it kills my drive. If there's anything that will break something else, I just shut down. Not sure how to deal with these issues other than making sure all things are ready to go at all times.
Thank you for reading.
