THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS
The trailer RULES 😳✨
Perhaps this is too large an ask but how do you approach the task of making a trailer when there’s so much to pull from? So many delicious moments? Selecting/auditioning clips seems like such an arduous task…. Where do you even begin?
thank youuuuu!!! i actually love talking about my process lol. ideally the best way is to watch the movies and take detailed notes on every scene i like/might work! when i can't watch/rewatch a movie from the list, i'll usually watch a lot of trailers & video essays and read about the plot to give me a basic idea of the beats of the story so it's easy for me to jump around and find different scenes. i usually cut up way more scenes from each movie than actually end up in the finished trailer. but having a lot of scenes & images to choose from from each movie makes it much easier for me to find overlapping themes. the entire shape of the trailer, including what moments i choose, is very dependent on the music choice!
