Went to a different place today to compare my options for HRT/GAHT providers (the one I'd been seeing was out-of-state, so if nothing else I figured this one would at least be better for telehealth purposes) and the nurse practitioner essentially said "... Why was [other nurse practitioner, with whom she apparently was already familiar] making you do all that nonsense??? We're gonna get you some labwork today and if everything comes back all clear you should have a prescription for spiro and E in a week"
So then I pissed in a cup and bled in some vials and in about a week I should be on hormones properly! With no bullshit hoops to jump through!!

After a brief scare this morning when my lab results came back and I had to go to the hospital because they saw dangerously high potassium levels (turns out it was a false positive upon a re-test, probably a hemolyzed sample according to the doctor who called me this morning to tell me I needed to go the the hospital, literally everyone there who talked to me about it, and also my NP when she reviewed the new test results), I'm now in possession of my spiro and estradiol!! After just 2 days!!!!!!
Wild how much more quickly things go when you're working with a provider who actually knows what the fuck they're doing from firsthand experience
