8BIT MUSIC POWER ENCORE was a 7-track Famicom cart chiptune presentation exclusive to a 2017 RIKI exhibition at a venue in Saitama. Sort of a bonus work produced in the aftermath of 8BIT MUSIC POWER FINAL, it lacks some of the visual polish and embellishments typical of RIKI's earlier carts. Besides Tomita and Hige Driver, it included works from omodaka aka Soichi Terada (Fantavision, Ape Escape), Saitone, Yu Shimoda (Mega Man 9, PS3-era Atelier series), Kenichi Arakawa (Rusty) and Nobuyuki Shioda (Recca, NEO Heiankyo Alien). It was later included as a ROM image and WAV/MP3 format recordings on the CD-ROM bundled with Sansai Books' 8BIT MUSIC POWER FINAL+ENCORE released in December 2017.
RIKI just announced an expanded 13-track edition of this cart for general release (or as general a release as a Famicom cartridge can be in 2023) is coming soon with additional works by Bun (FMPSG, Astro Ninja Man EXA), Takeshi Abo (Steins;Gate), Takuya Hanaoka (Super Robot Wars ɑ, Toukidenshou ANGEL EYES), Keishi Yonao (Asuka 120%, Metal Sight), hally (Blaster Master Zero series), and Hiroto Saitoh (Power Dolls, Technictix). RIKI's previous cart albums were eventually followed by CD/digital releases from Columbia Records, so hopefully we won't have to wait long for that announcement.
