my studio got acquired by a big industry player a few years ago, and we’re now in this situation of infinite cash flow letting issues within the team go ignored and allowed to fester because corporate is taking the "you all seem to know what you're doing so we're not gonna disrupt the magic" stance
that seems to be the story among the acquisition sweeps (see: redfall), and I imagine roughly the same thing happened with volition under deep silver and embracer
