Oh, is this our first proper Game Boy Advance game on the site? Yes, it is! It's the wordily-titled Futari wa Pretty Cure: Ariena~i! Yume no Sono wa Daimeikyū, the subtitle of which translates to something like Unbelievable! The Garden of Dreams is a Huge Labyrinth. It's a puzzle-platformer starring the protectors of the light, Pretty Cure! For an anime license this one doesn't fare too bad actually, with some excellent presentation and a nice, simple setup that helps you pick it up and play pretty quickly. I didn't quite finish watching the first season of the show beforehand but I'm sure I'll get to it, Nagisa is a walking disaster area and I support her. Honoka's best girl though don't @ me.

Short (and probably dumb) question from someone trying to learn Japanese: Why is 園 read as "kuni" here? Would have expected "sono". But then again, kanji readings rarely make sense to me.
Ah, there's a very simple answer to this- I'm an idiot! See, I trusted the GameFAQs romaji of the title which uses kuni. What I should've checked was the title screen call which does indeed use sono instead. Thanks for pointing this out, I'll have it corrected!
