please share and comment with suggestions for privacy focused email services and money apps. i come from a time of paypal being the only one so i am long out of the loop. for email, i am willing to pay a small fee and would like one that makes it easy to use aliases. i do not know what is possible with current money apps, so any suggestions welcome there

thank you!

if you don't get any better suggestions on money apps, here's what I know about at least:
venmo - a common money-sending app, like paypal mobile app
cash app - same as above
zelle - idk much about this one, but i think it's similar to above.
ko-fi - somewhere between patreon and a standard money-sending app. i've seen some people use it to try and make a visible deadname in paypal less visible.

these are all the big-name apps that are in common use around philadelphia, but there's probably cooler stuff out there.

Definition of "privacy focused" money apps is needed. All fiat and even most crypto can be traced by a law enforcement or government agency. Monero is hardest to trace but not many vendors take it as payment.

With email i am happy with protonmail.

It could be read as [privacy focused] [email services and money apps] - beauty of the English language.

In that case, I can recommend paypal, venmo, and zelle. Zelle requires a phone number or email linked to bank account so I only use it for people in real life.
