anyway this is why i have a hard time trusting anyone who isn't transfem. no one cares about us. and people get real angry when we try and address the overwhelming, exterminatory hate towards us.

obviously relevant to binary trans women, but there's no implied exclusion of non binary people and nothing implied about genitalia despite what critics are usually saying
i don’t really see any issue with a term like that tbh and it wouldn’t seem to be essentialist at least to me, like i’d say i’ve experienced some transmisogyny as a femme nb. what are the critics saying? just that it’s gender essentialist? i’m honestly out of the loop here
yeah you've got the crux of it. that its gender essentialist.
i think there is a decent, nuanced discussion that can be had around language to discuss transmisogyny, but most critics just want to shut down any discussion of transmisogyny
