Daisy sits a normal, not-suspicious distance from the open window and listens, calmly, to the howling of dogs outside.
"Daaaaiiisyyy~" Lauren hums, singsong.
"There's- I'm not- I'm paying attention."
She's verifiably not paying attention. She's not even sure what show they're watching anymore. But she's a good girl, and good girls do not-
"You wanna baaaark?" Lauren asks, and Daisy struggles to contain herself.
"N-No. I don't. The neighbors will complain." She says, her tail thumping against the couch as it wags.
Lauren just grins at her and runs her hands through the fur on the back of her neck, brings them up to scratch behind her ears. Daisy presses into her hands, one of her legs jittering as a pleased rumble escapes her throat.
"Good girl wanna go outside and baark???" Lauren asks, in the playful tone one speaks with a pet, and Daisy whines and squirms as her tail wags out of control.
"Lemme get my shoes on, we'll go outside." She says, getting up off the couch, and Daisy follows her bashfully.
She very calmly follows her out into the hall, down the stairs, and outside into the night- where she promptly zooms out into a moonbeam and joins the other hounds in their song.
She's going to be so embarrassed about this in the morning.
