I think the thing with Elon Musk is that seeing a rich tech guy blunder in, break everything, and stand with his chest puffed out saying "I made it better" is shocking because it's visible, when that's exactly what happens to every mass adopted tech platform except the people that buy it and break it don't even show themselves.
The thing that hit me tonight was that my third party twitter client (BetterTweetDeck) ate shit by at once saying there would be no more support for it...and removing the post button. I love third party support, I hate ads. I loved the linear timeline and the ability to split my posts, likes, replies, and such into their own columns. No longer.
I think this is what kills Twitter for me.
