I had an excellent time at Big Bad Con and some of the conversations I had inspired me to hyperfocus and write a ridiculous 1-page game. When I playtested it I laughed so hard that I wheezed.
It's called Elf With A 10 Page Backstory and it's about edgy mysterious adventurers who slowly reveal their secret tragic past to overcome challenges. Despite its name, it requires no preparation and is very easy to learn.
While it's definitely inspired by edgelord gamers, it is also a love letter to the imagination of my younger self.
