Alastar Gabriel (but you can call me anything). I'm an ex-professional software developer, now I make weird art and music :p I will give you bug facts unprompted
Twitch, Ko-fi, Neocities, Mastodon
We can be friends but I have to warn you, I am a little awkward and kind of hard to get ahold of :p
ENG/日本語 OK
i feel like a significant portion of analog horror can be summarized with "bro thinks he's local 58 😂😂😂"
if i pause the video at just the right spot near the end i can almost make out a face
it's tricky though
If I took Benadryl before bed and was laying there and the local network said coming up next The Hatman I might have a panic attack
I want to make an Analog Horror thing but also I don't want to. Any originalism that happens in this space gets recycled into the ground so hard that the parodies look indistinguishable from the legitimate attempts.
time for me to go make a two hour long video explaining this video's deep lore. i can't wait to get into my favorite hatman fan theories
i wanted to argue against this in some way but i can't because you are 100% correct
It's easier to follow the examples you've seen work than to like... do something unique and interesting to build off of the examples you've seen work. And unfortunately, horror is perpetually seen as the entry level for video arts.
