i havent been discussing it as much on here as I have twitter but I've been doing an "Intro to Judaism" offered by the synagogue I plan to do my conversion process through/be a member of. it's been really nice! so far ive done a class on 1) Jewish Time & Holidays, 2) Shabbat, & 3) Talmud & Torah. the 3rd class especially has me watching some videos/reading on my own time that i've found interesting and decent about the evolution of modern jewish streams/traditions. i might use this post as a place to share stuff i come across that i like or find helpful both for me to keep track of it and for anyone else interested.

this video is a basic overview of the evolution of modern traditions of judaism. it also has a
more in depth response / criticism video from his friend (goes into things he omitted and focuses a lot less on differences between different minhag/heritages). the charts / visuals are really satisfying. the original guy also apparently has one on the history of rabbincal lineages i'll probably check out too
