Pitch for a new movie: the friends/coworkers of a YouTuber known for outrageous giveaways are trying to kill him off and take his money and channel. They keep scripting increasingly dangerous video ideas for him in hopes that one will go wrong.

In this hypothetical movie this would be, like, the third murder attempt, where they "forget" where he's buried and a week later he just walks into the office totally fine with a big grin on his face and no explanation.

seeing this, I thought of a different angle where the YouTube star's pals say they're worried about sagging interest in the channel and being seen as stale, so they insist on bringing in an outside Internet media consultant (surely such people must exist in droves, under various titles), and under the consultant's guidance the YouTube star is pushed into increasingly bizarre and dangerous stunts, but it turns out that the consultant actually has some weird cult thing going on where he's using the YouTube star to enact pieces of an elaborate magical working and his pals are hoping to get something out of it, and the culmination is some kind of sacrificial rite of course, and maybe I'm just sort of mashing up Rosemary's Baby with Wicker Man and other things...

mind you I rather like the idea of the YouTube star turning out to be unkillable, that's cool too =p
