I've held a chicken before. I've never held a duck. I have to assume it's basically chicken deluxe, a considerably more refined and enjoyable version of an already perfect experience

And now that I think about it, I guess probably a pretty important part of the equation is that it might quack. I'm not sure I'd be ready for that, it would be like meeting a celebrity. Oh damn it's quack, from all of culture beginning in early childhood. He just seems like a normal guy when you meet him

ducks are honestly a lot easier to hold than chickens due to them being a much more streamlined shape (for water travel) which suits the grabbing shape of the human hand well. plus the feathers fold down and are smoother. they are also more chill when held than chickens, who are already fairly chill. holding a goose by comparison is very difficult and scary because are large and cumbersome and they wiggle and flap and they bite everything and their neck +head is basically a long and aggressive snake

i held a duck once but i've never held a chicken. notable points: 1) head is SMALL! like how is the head so small yet does everything a duck needs?? 2) heart beat is SO FAST 3) so warm. very good A+ bird experience. i also held a duckling once & they emit a constant peeping even when asleep so their parent can locate them
