Astral Lemons

Here’s the first leaf/wing! Still no idea if the weird leaf looking things are deathblight are bug wings or just really weird leaves so I put a piece of white fabric in between 2 layers of the shiny translucent fabric so it would fit either one of leaf or wing and used white embroidery thread to make sure they won’t separate the shiny fabric is a little bit of a pain to work with but I don’t mind. I want to make around 5 leaf thingys per root I have so will need 20 for the 4 I have made This part should keep me busy for the next 2 or 3 days :)

So far I have the cuffs done and finished the other sleeves lace is a bit lower than the rights but that’s fine it’s a small detail that’ll probably get hidden by the gloves ruffles I just need to change the length of this shirt and the second piece of the cosplay will be finished! I’m also currently working on some deathblight that I can snap on inside the boots and have them sticking out as a little refrence to his chair ridden state I have this sparkly translucent frabric that I’ll use for the weird leaf/wing part of the deathblight I have the roots sewn up I just need to add the leaves/ wings and the snaps to the roots and the boot and that part would be done I also got foam recently I just need to figure out how to work with it to make the belt decorations and I also got the frabric I need for the front of the brown vest so that will be done soon too! After that it’s just the gloves cloak and green half shirt!

I am definitely going to lose track of these updates lmao anyways I’m almost done the sleeves for his yellow base shirt decided to use the rest of the lace I have from seeing that onto the boots instead of just regular frabric becuase it looks pretty and it’s my cosplay my decisions lol.I’m using the lace as a replacement for the weird white cuff he has on his sleeves and so far it looks really good! It would make my life easier if I just put it through my sewing machine but that thing has been slightly abused just making the cufs in general so I’m hand sewing it on and I’m glad I did because I broke a sewing needle doing it but managed to sew the rest on with what sewing needle I had rest.I might add the green band that’s connected to the green weird half shirt crop top thingy he has (no idea what it’s actually called) and I can sew on snaps so then that way I can take on and off the green top with ease with out it being a nightmare :D

Pov you accidentally cut the sleeve too short so now you need to resew a chunk back on and the seam gives it this weird fold look on the outside TvT lmao I dont think many people would notice becuase Rogiers outfit is atleast for me a little overstimmulating to the eyes becuase of all the details in his outfit and all the glintstone thats in it too theres also the fact that im making it a puffy sleeve so theres going to be little folds in the area of the seam where i adjusted the cuff size so it fits my wrists more instead of being way to big. after i finish the cuffs ill move on to possibly maybe altering the length today too.I also went to some stores today t but the two stores that I thought would carry the puzzle piece foam mats that Im planning on using didnt surprisngly so I just need to go to a walmart or staples becuase thats what google said had those mats.Tbh Im quite unexprienced with cosplay still as ive only made two other cosplays so far and both invovled me not altering clothes this much so yeah. :) I am learning along the way though the hard way but its best i learn from my mistakes now than later lol
