in RED it's like "What do my explosives do, GM? Where do I get them? What's their price category? What happens when I use this skill?" which doesn't really solve the problem so much as kick it from the left hemisphere to the right hemisphere

none at all. they absolutely refused to provide anything. the argument i've seen the designers make is "well there's too many use cases, so use your imagination" but the real answer was layout real estate. Demolitions is the most "Go Girl Give Us Nothing" 2x skill in the ruleset.
I actively blocked this out of my memory. I refuse to remember it or the cover penetration rules.
And then they also ricochet off every surface, dealing and redealing and re-re-redealing damage.
