And I do not dig my chances if I’m rolling 4d6 assigned and max hp on first HD. This seems like a megadungeon with little backup, so I guess logistically that works out but I fear being buffed in proportion to the stakes with what sounds like a level one PC

im partial to playing Fighter in osr games. i like being shockingly reliable when things come to blows and I need to slap peeps.
That first hit die’s got me feeling grim and perilous. I’ve got a good array where I can eke out a prime requisite bonus of 10%, but it’s a tough call between that +1 reaction roll and more AC to not die.
It’s gonna be CHA. I want Conan for Her so I gotta be boisterous. Plus the utility of saving the party from putting a noncombat character up to bat for the reaction roll is good.
and a good CHA lets you easily rope peasants to your cause yeah.
love a good charisma fighter, leadin' from the front with their spear wielding dirt farmers.
