HIDIVE has Kaiji dubbed and for the longest time I believed that was a good thing. No. False. The narrator for the Japanese audio is superior, he is the Platonic solid by which all gambling anime narrators are measured against. That guy can take someone drinking a glass of water and make it sound like an EVO moment
Meanwhile the dub track has the narrator sound like Vincent Price for god knows what reason. Kaiji’s a pretty sinister and intense work, but that’s a miscast. Everything else is passable tho. I cannot complain. It is a serviceable dub besides this one rogue variable
