Oddly enough, for someone in a postdoctoral position, I have never attended a conference. Coupled with being off my medication because of the extremely strict regulations on amphetamines in Japan and Korea I was feeling extremely nervous.
After the trip to the Imperial Palace was a bust, I decided to take a bus to Sakyō-ku and partake in the Philosopher's Walk. Though much of the details surrounding the Walk itself are alleged, I have to agree, it is a divine walk, afterwards I was in the absolute perfect state of mind to be bombarded with information about planetary formation.
I look forward to getting back the 3 rolls of film I shot there, but these are some of my favourite photos of the trip so far.
