some googling showed me that there's like, a weird proprietary Kodak Coating:tm: that gums up machines, but the way you described it made me assume it like, goes exothermic and melts the processing machine into a puddle of molten metal if it gets within 10 meters.
Yep that’s what happens, I had a chat with my local developer about it, it’s apparently a nightmare any time it happens, so it usually only happens once
