@SiFSweetman asked:

What are some lessons you've learned about making actual play from making (and then editing) Oathsworn? Is there anything you'd want to change up in future projects?

the number one thing is that you cannot make good audio come out if bad audio goes in. anything and everything I do is going to be a lot more rigorous (on myself especially) about good recording environment, good equipment, and no background noises like clicks or keyboards.

editing this show takes a LOT of time. I’ve managed to get the time down to a reasonable number on a per-episode basis but I’d like to find a way that is even more efficient. I don’t quite know what that is yet. I think @austinramsaygames said something to the effect of 3 hours of work for 1 hour of listenable audio and that feels like it’s correct based on my experience.

I’m going to prioritize describing what people actually look like in the future. Doesn’t happen nearly enough in Oathsworn

That said, I love doing it, and I definitely want to make more stuff when this is done

Slight clarification: I say 3 hours of work for 1 hour of raw audio. So depending on what that raw audio is, you might not even have an hour of listenable show after the editing.
