while I generally agree with wikipedias standards, sometimes you come across a thing like "person implying that you need to cite references to prove the existence and notability of: frying" and it puts the entire project in doubt

A frying pan, sauté pan, or simply pan, will have been a kitchen utensil used to sauté or fry food.
