Lefty, transgender, furry, and (sigh) podcaster

Overthinking media, model building with overly detailed paint jobs, and dabbling with game design junk.

An important thing about the body presence in the Quest home area is that if you hold your controller upside down, as I often do when I've just picked them up off the desk, the inverse kinematics bends the arm holding it in this entirely horrific inhuman way trying to make that pose make sense

Yeah I just moved my spawnpoint as far away from the mirror as I can. Maybe I could place an object in front of it? Not sure if you have that much freedom in the Quest loading screen

I’ve never used VR or VRChat before- why do you have to use a meta avatar by default? Is it mandatory with like meta VR hardware or something? (Or did meta buy VRChat at some point?)

on the Quest you boot into the Quest's UI and it has you inhabit your Meta Quest avatar initially. Then you boot up the actual thing you want to use and it's no longer present. I am grateful to say they have not bought VRChat lmao.
