Had the wind slightly taken out of my sails today after looking at an interweaving story outline I did (and was at the time pretty proud of) last night, reviewing it this morning and thinking to myself "...wait, this is off to me"
...and realizing (in addition to "this is OK, not great") it's a type of writing that's informed by decades of old primetime TV, where scenes conclude with jokes and problems come packaged with easy and immediate solutions. I'm sure that kind of storytelling has its place in media, but it's not what I want to go for here. I'm on whiteboard level design tier 2 and aiming at tier 4 with a gleam in my eyes. I've got my goggles on and I'm pointing my drill at the core
