Today I did commission sketches -during- a social commitment with a friend without streaming my progress and it was amazing. I can just Do stuff! And with stuff done, I can set Krita down for the afternoon!~

I realize posting the above might've implied a few things about how I've been regimenting my creative process and treating my own personal schedule in general, so to remove a bit of ambiguity: Yes, I didn't think I could realistically do those things, and no, you don't want to know the amount of time for which it's been actually that bad

For a while I would always Twitch stream while working on comics with the belief that it would keep me on-task, and it was demotivating (because nobody was watching the stream) and frustrating (because it would add a lot of input lag to my Mac) while also being counterproductive (because it meant I Had To Stream™ to maintain the schedule for Engagement™) and I ended up feeling so much better when i realized that it wasn't helping anything.
