🎮Game Club
Reaching for a warm cup, we're cozying up in a corner of our favorite fantasy cafe with Coffee Talk (Toge Productions, 2020). Join us in eavesdropping on noisy customers, getting burned by complicated orders, and wondering if maybe Seattle is just like that.
For the last time, a quick reminder that we our continuing our Final Fantasy XIII long play. This month we finish the game, so whether you've been around for the club or played the game ages ago, you're welcome to join our end-of-the-game meetup.
Lastly, we are continuing our monthly fighting game tournaments with Them's Fightin' Herds in just a few weeks. Plenty of time to wrangle Arizona or Venus (if you're feeling evil).
🎥Movie Club
Even better than a hot latte is a bowl of ramen, all the more so if it's served while a faux-western standoff is happening just out of frame. We're of course watching Tampopo (Juzo Itami, 1985), which I've been told is one of the movies of all time.
📖Book Club
And just like that, our Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Hitoshi Ashinano, 1994-2006) read-a-long is coming to an end. We're concluding this month with chapters 112-140, so as with FFXIII, if you missed the earlier months but want a chance to discuss this very charming manga series, we'll be hosting a wrap up call near the end of February.
