I see artists struggle with the idea that they might not be able to draw a subject matter, this video shows a technique that is very similar to the techniques I use for taking reference. personally I prefer to just skip to the imagination step though hahaha. the 10 second peek idea is excellent and mixing that with the 'draw without reference and then correct mistakes later' step is also very helpful for semi realistic fantasy drawings.
