Guess who finally told her therapist that she thinks she’s autistic? And my therapist didn’t immediately dismiss me like my mom did! Aha. Therapist asked if I want to get evaluated there even if the wait list is really long. I said I’d have to think about it because I’m aware that professionally diagnosed autistic people face discrimination by doctors and society alike. She also suggested I talk to my dad about moving to the twin cities again since we’re so stuck here. It would have to be affordable housing which takes months to get. But it’s a much safer place for queer people and the jobs are better and pay you more. Plus there’s actually places to go & things to do in the twin cities area as opposed to where I’m living at the moment.
