so i was thinking about making my next review on The Sticks by Mother Mother since i want a palette cleanser after roger waters shat in my cereal, but then i saw that Fallen by Evanescence is getting a remaster next week, and i have to hop on that opportunity because it's really funny

or rather, it would be funny if i hadn't done my relisten to the album just now and realised that uh, album's better than i remembered! so i'll have to actually make a review of value rather than spending 40 paragraphs talking about wake me up inside memes and a reinterpretation of My Immortal's first chapter

jk jk even if i hadn't enjoyed the album i would've made a proper review, although the memes have to be mentioned simply for how prevalent they are in association

DISCLAIMER: This has nothing to do with the really bad stuff that Waters has been doing on his latest live tour. That's a separate issue from this one and I'll probably tackle it at some point at a later date, most likely around the time the full tour is over.

would peeps be interested in me giving mini thoughts on albums here? the 0 review is gonna take longer than imagined (turns out an album you have strong emotional connections to is hard to word properly...) so in the meantime and after it i'd be more than happy to tackle stuff in more bite-sized pieces here! i'd even be down to people recommending me things to listen to and review, i love learning about new music and there's so much of it out there that i'll never run out

been a long while since i wrote a full album review, about time i started working on a new one

next one's going to be for 0 by Low Roar, an album i've wanted to review for months now but didn't feel comfortable due to the still rather recent passing of Ryan Karazija, but i think i'm ready to tackle it now
