This is a version that fixes the layout mistakes of the previous board, and switches (eh) from full-sized mx keyboard switches to low profile redragon's. Due to the design of the computer, the keyboard stands considerably high from the desk, so I felt this would help with ergonomics.
Some notes:
- As the keyboard is currently only held down to the sides of the case, the upper middle portion becomes wobbly as it has no real support, adding a post in the mainboard that the keyboard can rest on in this location should help
- There is lack of vertical clearance between the connectors on the mainboard and keyboard, offsetting these in a next mainboard revision should help
- I used black keyswitches here, they feel a bit more mushy than I expected but are mostly alright.
- This board can only use the redragon low profile switches, this is because every single manufacturer uses their own incompatible footprints for low profile switches (which I learned the hard way), Redragon was the choice here as they are by far the cheapest option
Finally, I've done some nice progress with developing a text editor+a custom programming language for this systen, I am unfortunately yet to do a writeup on these. oops
