oooo kind of a tough one... i'll just kinda keep it to video games since i haven't read that many books or anything but as far as like my top favorite, probably the Xenosaga series, but especially Episode I!
I was always so enamored by the cutscenes and the character writing as a kid and it definitely influenced a good chunk of my aesthetic today (even if i don't really draw that much sci-fi lol) The protagonist Shion Uzuki is also absolutely one of my favorite characters that may or may not have influenced a few of my ocs...
Aside from that, on the more fantasy side of things, I also have a big love for Chrono Cross, and Grandia I and II. Final Fantasy IX is also probably my top fave story out of all the mainline final fantasies i've played.
