I feel like we need a gamer equivalent of the spherical cow* for the mentality that calculates everything to death and also assumes the only player worth addressing has the will and time to attain mastery and perfect game knowledge. Y'all were playing these games with cheats when you were kids. I want to have a good time while also kinda sucking at the game, thanks.
*(I'd hesitate with using spherical gamer though, that will get horny within days)
even in games that i absolutely could master i'm fuckin 34 and only have so much time to play video games these days maybe i don't wanna grind killing the same rat in the sewer 500000000 times to make numbers go up anymore
i also don't want to spend 500 hours on youtube learning how to kill rats in the most efficient way

The other half of it is that despite the obvious truth to it, "learn the game better" is a bullshit excuse. Folks are supposed to learn the game better as they go, not as a prerequisite. If a game is an aggravating shitshow at low levels of skill, that's a design (or at least teaching) problem no matter how little you care about the experience of noobs.
