bit of a rant but I'm finding myself more and more resistant to people getting grumpy about fictional character designs because of their "practicality". Like yeah sure no one likes the metal bikinis that are only there for male gaze nonsense reasons but I sometimes feel like we veered so hard into "no reasonable knight would wear a boob plate lol" that any outfit that doesn't fit some Mythbusters-tier real life versimilitude will get folks snidely declare it won't survive an actual battle
