Some notes now that I can speak:

  • The UI I am still adjusting to, it does feel annoying that sharing a post requires you to go to a different page and then get sent right back to the top of your feed, that and commenting takes you to a different page as well
  • I do appreciate that there is a toggle to switch between including shares and excluding shares on a profile page, but there isn't a dedicated media tab it seems nor a way to look at the tags of a single blog like with tumblr, so art posts might have to be its own separate blog
  • On that note, not sure how to go about uploading art. My issue with Weasyl was that I tried to reupload EVERYTHING, and ended up not touching it with the workload. So no idea if I'll be reuploading everything again, or if I should just upload whatever new comes out. And if the former, I would have to pick and choose which drawings are deserving of reupload, which won't be easy for me

You must log in to comment.

in reply to @Beepbeepster's post:

as mentioned on desktop you can shift-click to share right away, but comments are a separate page still

for looking at tags on a single page you can accomplish that with a special link, check the pinned post on @pinballswizard to see how i've done that, which makes for a nice gallery sort of view (i still keep it on a separate page, and also use the tags trick)

and the strategy i used for uploading was to just pick a point in time and upload only newer stuff than that for a little bit of a backlog, but i don't doubt any strategy you'd pick would be good :3

Ohhh I see, so the tag url is the same as with tumblr, I thought it didn’t since clicking on a tag takes you to the website search for that tag than just the single blog, so that’s good to see, I’ll see about doing the same then to set up some simple html links like what you did.

And yeah, I think I might do just that, just a few of my recents and then go from there
