Heya! I'm Behemoth, and I'm a big ol' nerd. Professionally, I recently became a web developer, but I used to work at the Pike Place Market. FFXIV, JoJo, One Piece, Gundam, etc.

Ah... this week is going to feel very long. I'm really looking forward to this weekend, when I get my new phone. Love getting a new gadget to play with. Move all my shit over, get things set up, play with the new camera and whatnot. It'll be fun.

Also I still don't really have a Big Project to work on at work. Kind of just in planning and investigating mode.

Watchin' this new gameplay footage for Armored Core VI, it looks pretty fun. I was never really into those games in the past, so I will be coming at it looking for souls comparisons. I've been a bit disappointed when From has tried to do fast-paced action before, especially in Sekiro. It just doesn't compare to the smoothness of Nioh, imo. But this looks a lot better.

I do have the problem of... not really liking how the mechs look, though. In my mind there are two major aesthetics for giant robots: Gundam and Battletech. Do you like your mechs more functional and modeled after real miliatry, or do you want them to be more toyetic and simple? Personally, I am 100% on the Gundam side of the divide. That game is way closer to the Battletech side.

This is all to say: I would enjoy AC6 1000% more if the mechs looked more like zakus or whatever. I see those spindly arms and guns awkwardly strapped to the back and just cringe. It literally makes me cringe. It is not appealing in the least. This is all fictional, make up whatever justification you want, just make 'em look cool.
