Heya! I'm Behemoth, and I'm a big ol' nerd. Professionally, I recently became a web developer, but I used to work at the Pike Place Market. FFXIV, JoJo, One Piece, Gundam, etc.

Well, it's still way too hot in my apartment to boot up BG3 again, so it's time to return to a classic: Knights of the Old Republic!

Man I love this game. Didn't play it when it was new, but I played a ton of it when I was in college. It's such a weird game, the prototype of the modern CRPG, but still using an extremely traditional roll20 system underneath. And, like, it literally tells you what dice it will roll in the background for different things. I have a sword that deals 2d6+2 damage, and an ability that expands my critical range!

Everyone always talks up KotOR 2, but I always enjoyed playing the first game more. It's got less annoying parts, and it's just a nice, traditional Star Wars story, nothin' fancy, though it still brings some fun new ideas to the franchise. I'd love for them to re-canonize the Rakata.

Last time I played I went all-in on light side, so I'm gonna go dark this time. The dark side options are so hilariously over the top, right from the start. Just being needlessly antagonistic to literally every person you meet, it's great.

Gonna be hard to resist going past the upper city of Taris... but I do want to play along with AMCA. Can't wait to see their reaction to Certain Things, down the line.

I'm very tempted since AMCA is covering it, but I have just never clicked with CRPGs despite trying a half dozen times... I feel like I rented this one 20 years ago and didn't really enjoy it then, but I'm also not a teenager anymore either and a bit more patient and open minded.

I'm starting to stall out on the game I'm currently playing, so maybe I'll give it another try with the Switch version.
