Heya! I'm Behemoth, and I'm a big ol' nerd. Professionally, I recently became a web developer, but I used to work at the Pike Place Market. FFXIV, JoJo, One Piece, Gundam, etc.

Well, I had a really nice day off.

Went and finally got my hair cut. It wasn't as bad as it got during the early pandemic, I think I went over a year without getting a cut, had to use a hairclip to keep it out of my face. It was probably right on the bring of that, kept falling down into it when I was like in a car with the windows down or whatever. Feels good to have it out of the way again, though I'm gonna have to take a shower before bed, I always get awful tiny bits of hair stuck in shirt. There's no other way to get rid of them. I've been itching all afternoon.

Got Armored Core 6 and got through the tutorial mission, plus a couple more. It's... I dunno, fine. I've never really played that series in the past, though I've played some adjacent mech games. Put a good deal of time into Daemon X Machina a couple years back, this definitely feels better than that. I just feel like I'm not very good at keeping track of enemies in games like this, I'm always getting shot at from off-screen and it's very frustrating.

The tutorial boss took me a couple tries, but I got it once I realized that missiles and guns weren't gonna cut it. I had to just get up there and smack it with my sword. Maybe this is mech souls after all! But, I'm still not really clicking with the aesthetics. The environments are incredible, as always with From games, and I like... some of the mech parts, I will admit. But it's just too... busy, I guess. I dunno, I really don't like the way energy weapons look, and the missile pods sticking out of the back of mechs just seem so ugly to me.

Anyway, I started yet another new character in BG3, on normal difficulty, and I think this one is gonna stick. They're a lolth-sword drow ranger! Already have him a couple of spider pals, who are very effective in combat, it seems. This is a fun archetype I never messed with in my first playthrough, and I'm going to keep Wyll and Lae'zel in my party, who I never really interacted with in the first playthrough. Astarion always felt like an absolute necessity, but I can handle dexterity skills this time.

Also, my Analogue Pocket finally shipped! I'm so excited. It's arriving next week. I ordered this thing last November, never thinking it would take ten months to arrive. I've got an SD card, but I neglected to get uhhh a reader. I think I can fit it in my laptop? I dunno, I can always go get a card reader at like Fred Meyer or something.
