i end up saying perfectly normal things very loudly in public like 'we call margaret thatcher "the Reagan of the East"' and the UK as being part of the Far East and how the Orient has such strange ways and customs, like driving on the wrong side of the road.
Living on the west coast of the US, almost everything is "back east" to me.
New England? Obviously back east.
Montana? That easterly state?
Nevada? Oh you mean way back to the east of here?
