Heya! I'm Behemoth, and I'm a big ol' nerd. Professionally, I recently became a web developer, but I used to work at the Pike Place Market. FFXIV, JoJo, One Piece, Gundam, etc.

Havin' a nice, quiet Friday.

I'm the only person in the office today (well, my team's room anyway), and it's kinda nice, to be honest. Makes me realize how much I change my behavior to accomodate other people. I like to whistle along with music or talk to myself as I work on things, and so on, but I'm always careful to not do that if anyone else is in the room. Well, at work anyway.

Had a meeting with some developers in India who we're handing off one of our projects to, and it's always very frustrating. I can feel the barrier to communication. They're being asked to do something they're not trained for (working on a Django app), and I am too (teaching people to use Python, Django, and git from scratch).

Ah well. Not my problem, at the end of the day. Everyone involved shares my frustrations, and the people making these decisions are distant enough that they'll never notice or care. C'est la vie!

Can't wait to get home and listen to the new Shelved by Genre. The end of that book was so fucking good. Though I am a bit wary of the next book just turning into a way more boring and literal religious allegory. But every time the book has leaned in that direction in the past, it quickly jerks away from it, so we'll see, I guess.
