Guhh, I'm in a bad mood today. Didn't sleep well last night.
But, I did download the Unicorn Overlord demo, and it is delightful. This is much more my speed than 13 Sentinels was, frankly. The combat is somewhat similar, but closer to Bahamut Lagoon or Shining Force, where you're building units out of a group of individual characters, and their positions on a grid determine what they do in battle.
Battles are turn-based, but happen automatically, with no player input. Your characters just do their thing and the combat ends with either a win or a loss, and maybe one of the units destroyed. So it cuts down on the tedium of issuing commands, while still keeping the flexibility of being able to design your own units.
The plot feels extremely Fire Emblem. It has that exact same tone, with a low-realism and mildly goofy fantasy world. It's also horny in the way you would expect from Vanillaware, though not as in-your-face with it as, say, Dragon's Crown was.
Ugh, should've just waited for this instead of buying FFVIIR2. Oh well, that'll be waiting for me when I'm ready for another open world game, maybe over the summer.
Need to go to the grocery store, stock up for the week... but I just have no energy today.
