Ahhhhhhhhh, havin' a nice day off.
Yesterday, I got all my socializing in, went up to Seattle to visit my family. Saw my brother for the first time in a while, he got a job at the post office! Been working six days a week, apparently you have to do fill-in work for the first few months, before you get the chance to get a permanent route. Very happy for him, he worked at the market for so long, nice to see him get a more stable job, at long last.
Just kinda lazing around the house today. Went and got some teriyaki for lunch, I really like this little place I found up in the Hilltop area. They have really good spicy chicken, extremely spicy but not too much for me, and the rare Jarritos flavors: tamarind and guava.
Been playing more SMTVV, I think I'm just past where I stopped last time. This third area, where there are tons of ruined skyscrapers and canyons all over the place. It was a nightmare to navigate on the switch, on that tiny screen with such a terrible framerate. Even on the big screen, I had trouble finding the way forward a few times, but at least it's easier to see what's happening.
The thing I really love about this game, fundamentally, is how the demons look. They did an amazing job translating a lot of the classic Kaneko designs into 3D, much better than the old PS2 models they used for so long. Look at Fenrir up there! They managed to make the streams of fire constantly coming from his eyes look sick as hell.
Ahh, this makes me want to play some of those older games too... I never did finish the Digital Devil Saga series... that would be fun to try again....
