There is - or should be - a tension between critical support and ideological consistency. A fascist regime ejecting one imperial power in favor of another, maybe worse one is obviously not an interesting question even if there is a certain cathartic value in Burkina Faso telling France to kick rocks, or even some practical value for the American left in Niger ejecting American military bases. Even in the case of Palestine though, the correct approach is, "genocide is bad against anyone and resolution of civil rights problems and the development of the Palestinian left will not come under Israeli siege", not "actually queers are a product of Western liberalism." Nazbol bullshit being smuggled in by barely cloaking it in warmed-over ML rhetoric from the 60s.
