I wonder what the 3D printer version of a black fax would be anyway, what's the best way to waste someone's money and time?
print a cube/set the temp too high and print anything sounds good but you'd need to know the allowed dimensions of the printer to print maximum cube without the printer rejecting the command.
Doing something that makes it heat up it's print head and not do anything could be bad for someone's power bill?
I guess most 3d printers are going to give you a device name if you try to connect so you could find out what the biggest cube they'll try to print is and then do that

I dunno, not really a true "black fax" to me if you need to know anything about the receiving system other than how to connect to it, it needs to be something dead simple that takes next to no software knowhow but is incredibly annoying to have done to your machine

hilariously intricate model all but guaranteed to turn into the ol' spaghetti and meatballs, small enough to fit most any typical 3D printer, big enough to keep it busy for a while and make a mess

edit: looking into it more, you could probably just do this with basically any 3D model very much not made for 3D printing. rip a suitably spindly looking game asset or VRChat avatar (preferably unoptimized), send it off baybee

You can just send it a gcode file telling it "switch on the heater, wait 5 min, extrude 100000m", don't even need a model.

Most are not very smart devices , so depending on how malicious you're feeling it might be entirely possible to tell it to crash the print head into the build plate at full speed repeatedly.

Do need too know at least the model of printer though because there's different flavors of gcode they take.

needing to know stuff about it is points against but if there's an actual kys command that's hilarious

A resin printer pushes down a growing model slice by slice onto an lcd screen, there must be a way to tell it to push the model down into the screen and fuck everything into smash
